Shree Purohit Swami (October 12, 1882 – 1941) was a poet, philosopher and Hindu monk. He came to Britain in 1931 and struck up friendships with various British literary figures. Fluent in both Sanskrit and English, Shree Purohit Swami was instrumental in popularising the wisdom of Indian spirituality and philosophy through his translations of ancient Indian texts.
William Butler Yeats (June 13, 1865–January 28, 1939) was an Irish poet, dramatist, writer, and politician. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest poets of the 20th century. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1923.
